True, but a great many won't bother, as evidenced by the number of stories that are copy-pasted with the original prompt, or more often the 'Introduction:', etc., structure not stripped out.

These are the chumps who would put on a striped jumper and a bandana over their eyes to rob a bank, holding a sack marked 'Swag'.

If the platform simply autodeleted every post that contained the character sequence 'Introduction:', or a title with the structure [noun syntagma<30% total title length][colon][remainder of title], that would get rid of a huge amount of lazily copy-pasted crap. Maybe such simple, automated rules are already used for distribution, and some spammers would adapt and up their game.

But many wouldn't, for the reason cited above. I see this as an easy win to take out some of the trash. Though as I say, maybe that and other elements are already baked into the algorithm.

However, it could also be used to weed out fake accounts: more than x stories that fail that test, and the account is automatically flagged for inspection, or simply suspended, with the onus on the user to prove themselves.
