True, Jesse, but many relocating to Spain will want to avoid such expat-/holiday-centred cities. And for admin (and transport links) you would have to come back into Malaga anyway. But it is handy to have the option - as is also the case with Alicante. The provincial capital has a more authentically Spanish vibe, but has all the airport connections and the nearby amenities derived from the tourist/retirement industry.
