Unfortunately, this cumbersome functionality means that few people will bother, especially given the complete lack of faith that Medium will do anything useful with the info.

A quick generic 'rules violation' or 'AI' report is all I have time for.

I don't really have time for that, and after reporting 15-20 users every single day for the last 3 weeks or so, am now reaching the end of my patience.

They clearly don't look into them manually (let's imagine 1,000 conscientious users each reporting 20 a day, to a team of maybe 5-6 people...), and if they can't automate the process with the data they have accumulated by now (which they probably can't) then the platform will inevitably sink into the morass (which it probably will).

I've recently come across people copy-pasting from info sites (e.g. health 'articles' that have come straight from the Mayo Clinic site) instead of using AI, and there you can only report as 'rules violation' via their quick categories. They probably won't even realise what the issue is. They are pathetic. Or are genuinely doing their best (I doubt it), but are incapable.
