I find the whole theme of reexploring fairytale and myth and uncovering greater depths and complexities of great appeal - Nimona sounds right up my street.
Coincidentally, I was thinking about mythological shapeshifters a couple of days ago, lying on a sunlounger and looking up at the clouds - shapeshifters par excellence.
It occurred to me that mythological pantheons don't tend to have a prominent place for cloud deities. Clouds get lumped in with the deities of sky or wind, rather than having their own entity. Shapeshifting would seem to be one of the properties that a cloud deity (or hero, or superhero) should have.
