One other thing about Audi, is their longstanding model naming principle of A1, A2, A3, etc. This hugely simplifies matters on the international market, as they don't have to try to come up with something that sounds snappy and image-appropriate, or go through tedious renamings for different markets.
As with the Mitsubishi Pajero, which they had to change to Montero for Spanish-speaking markets on account of it meaning 'wanker'.
I like the Audi and Citroën 'initial+number' approach. No messing about, no misunderstanding, and it clearly indicates the position within the range of different segments.
