Well, yes and no. As the 'referendum' had already been declared illegal, only Yes voters participated. 90-odd percent of 40-odd percent of the electorate, consistent with polling over the years which, as in Scotland for example, tends to hover either side of 50/50 depending on just how beastly London/Madrid are perceived as having ben recently.
Admittedly, Girona itself is far, far more separatist than Barcelona (but far, far less populous too), and one could easily get the impression living there (as I did for a decade or so) that a genuine, open, properly debated indy ref would easily poll over 60% Yes in Girona city and province.
But the question has never truly been put to the vote.
