Yeah, one suggestion I'm going to make to Ariel - though doubtless it has already been made - is that they could at least provide a list of four or five categories of rejection. And tell you 'not selected because (1) and (3)', for example.

Which would avoid nominators making the wrong interpretation, and not nominating similar pieces, because they think it was knocked back because 'too raunchy', 'drug use', 'slightly awkward non-native English' or other factors we might suspect, when in fact they had nothing to do with the decision.

It's like a failed job interview: did I wear the wrong tie? Did I speak too fast? Did my breath smell?
